Pineapple Waterfall

Swinging

We went to the waterfront and on the pier were these enormous swings.  It was so much fun! Waylen was just enthralled with the whole experience.  You could tell he was taking everything in - the sights, smells, colors, chaos of the busy streets and and the quiet near the waterfront.

Charleston Farmers Market

We went to the Charleston Farmers Market our last day on the trip.  It was a Saturday morning and the weather was gorgeous with a clear blue sky and cool breeze.  Every Saturday morning the Charleston Farmers Market is held at the Marion Square in downtown.  It is voted one of the top 5 in the US and I now know why.  They had a vast array of colorful fruits and vegetables, breads and baked goods.  The aroma was satisfying.  Carl and I strolled Waylen along as we sipped our morning coffee and we made sure to walk the entire square visiting each vendor to see what they had to offer along with several booths where people set up shop to sell their homemade items.   We purchased a piece of art from one of the local artists.  Charleston is a place we would like to return to one day.  The entire trip was a wonderful experience!!

I love my Mommy!

I love my Daddy!

Chimney Rock, NC

Chimney Rock, NC was absolutely breath taking.  We drove the winding roads up the mountain and then took an elevator that was built right into the mountain up to the peak for a look out...Stunning!!
